Line 1 and 3

Roissy VAL Lines 1 and 3 were opened in 2007 to serve travellers in one of the busiest airports in the world.

Driverless VAL trains shuttle between the various terminals of Charles de Gaulle airport, several car parks and the RER metro station. Travellers can then use the metro line to reach the centre of Paris and the mainline stations.

WPSD have installed a total of 108 platform edge doors, 2.45 metre high, on the seven stations which currently comprise this system. Line 1 has 6 doors on each of its 10 platforms, whereas Line 3 has 12 doors on each of the 4 platforms to match the dual train configuration.

The single glazed 6mm toughened glass is flush mounted within a natural anodised aluminium finish.
